Announcing Chronos

Gunfire Games has been around less than a year, but in that time we've managed to do quite a bit.  Just go look at the Games menu at the top of the page - that's ok, do it right now - this text will still be here when you get back!

Chronos is our first major original IP, and we are really excited to share some of the work we've done.

First off, Chronos is a VR game.  For those of you who have had the chance to pop a VR headset on, and tinker around - you probably already know the potential this new technology promises.  For those of you who haven't had the pleasure, let me summarize the experience - it's cool!

We are really excited to be working on a game built from the ground up to take advantage of VR.  Not a snazzy demo, not a "VR mode" for an existing game, but an honest-to-goodness VR game.

When we first considered what kind of VR game to make, we instantly knew we wanted to make something with cool adventure elements.  Exploring some crazy fantasy world in Virtual Reality is pretty darn cool, so that's what we set out to do.

You can read more about Chronos on the Chronos Page, but to put it simply - Chronos is an immersive adventure/RPG that lets you stare up at a 7-story tall towering cyclops, and realize for the first time just how big a creature like that would look in real life.  There's more to the game than that, but hopefully that mental image puts you in the proper mindset.

Don't mind me, I'm just passing through.

You've probably played a bunch of games set in exotic settings and locales, but you've never actually BEEN to those worlds.  In Chronos, you don't just play in that world - you ARE in that world.

That's it for now.  We will be adding more information about the game over time, so be sure to check back often - or sign up to our mailing list.
